Domainera is a web-based domain portfolio monitoring tool for agencies, freelancers, studios, and internal teams. It tracks domain expiration dates, sends renewal alerts, displays WHOIS/RDAP and DNS information, and supports opt-in monitoring for DNS and IP changes. Client and customer grouping, portfolio filters, and Excel exports make it particularly suited to teams managing domains on behalf of multiple clients. The free plan supports portfolios from 25 domains, while the Scale plan supports up to 1,000 domains; custom limits are available above that level.
Its standout strength is portfolio oversight rather than domain administration. Users can review status and expiration filters, inspect DNS record and nameserver history, and retain alert delivery records. Digest alert behavior is available on the Agency plan, while Scale adds plan-limit visibility and operational reporting. The Free plan includes manual adding and importing, renewal alerts, and WHOIS/RDAP and DNS visibility. Starter adds more monitored domains plus client filters and exports; Agency adds portfolio scale and client/customer grouping; Custom adds support diagnostics for high-volume operations.
Domainera is a good fit when the priority is keeping a client-oriented domain portfolio visible and organized in one web interface. It is less suitable for teams that need registrar integrations, ownership verification, or direct domain editing, since those capabilities are outside the MVP. It also does not provide a broader platform footprint beyond the web. Choose it for expiry oversight, optional DNS/IP monitoring, history, grouping, and reporting; choose an alternative when domain administration or deeper registrar-connected workflows are central requirements.
