Disk Shredder 7 is bootable data-erasure software for Windows PCs, Windows tablets and Intel Macs, with listed platform support for Windows, macOS and Linux. It is aimed at teams processing reusable computers and storage media rather than individuals seeking a lightweight desktop utility. The software runs from supplied USB flash drive or DVD-ROM media, erasing internal and USB-connected HDDs, SSDs and eMMC storage without relying on the installed operating system.

Its strongest fit is high-volume reuse. Supplied media supports unlimited uses and an unlimited number of erased units, while 5-pack editions support up to five computers processed simultaneously. The software can display disk contents before and after erasure, format erased disks in formats including NTFS, HFS+, ext4 and FAT, and save logs containing device and operation details. UEFI and expanded Secure Boot compatibility also support newer boot environments.

The paid editions separate capabilities by method and verification. Lite provides random-number overwrite once by default; Standard adds overwrite, Secure Erase and erasure verification; Super includes the full listed overwrite-method selection plus Secure Erase and Sanitize Erase support. The listed starting price is ¥18,000, excluding tax and delivery charges. Disk Shredder 7 suits organizations that value reusable boot media, device coverage and operation records. Buyers seeking free software, installed-OS operation or a simpler single-device workflow should look elsewhere.
