Our verdict on Dippy AI
Dippy AI is a character-chat and roleplay service for people interested in interactive conversations, companionship, and creative storytelling. On the website, users can browse character profiles and start chats; the iPhone app also supports character creation and sharing. That mix gives users both a way to explore community characters and tools to make their own. Dippy is intended for adults: its terms require users to be at least 18. It is available on the web and iOS, so its appeal is strongest for people who want character-based conversation rather than a general-purpose assistant.
Character discovery and creation are central to the product. Users can browse by themes and categories, customize characters, and share them with the Dippy community. Chats also support in-chat image and video generation, though those features use coins. This makes Dippy a fit for people who value a social library of characters and creative roleplay, while coin-based media generation is worth considering for anyone who expects to generate images or video frequently. The product’s focus is narrower than a broad productivity or research assistant: its described capabilities center on character chat and storytelling.
A free plan is available, and the paid Super subscription advertises unlimited messages and new chats, auto-updating chat memories, an enhanced model, extended memory mode, and no ads. Those additions are most relevant to users who want longer-running conversations and fewer interruptions. However, Dippy’s website says web subscriptions are temporarily unavailable, which affects users looking to subscribe there; mobile purchase pricing may vary by region. Choose Dippy for community characters, character creation, and memory-focused roleplay. Consider another option if you need a general-purpose assistant or do not want media generation tied to coins.
