Our verdict on Design Maker AI
Design Maker AI is a browser-based generative design service for creating posters, social graphics, landing pages, marketing assets and other visual formats. It is aimed at creators, founders, marketers, product teams and content creators who want to describe a design in text, add a reference photo, and refine the result through chat. Poster use cases include event, film, exhibition, festival and promotional designs, with controls for typography, palette, layout and print-oriented ratios.
The Free plan provides 100 free credits, including 2 credits for one complete design, with no credit card required. It also includes unlimited refinements, previews and exports. Starter costs $9 per month and adds website design generations, graphic design generations, marketing assets and unlimited chat refinements. Pro costs $25 per month, while Business costs $50 per month; both list the same categories of generations, marketing assets and unlimited chat refinements. The paid plans are therefore suited to users who need more ongoing generation capacity across several visual formats, while the free plan covers initial exploration and exports.
Its standout feature is the combination of prompt-based poster creation and conversational editing. Users can adjust typography, palette and layout through chat, then export PNG or JPG files at 1×, 2× or 3×. The service runs on the web and supports both desktop and phone browsers, but has no native mobile apps or integrations. Choose Design Maker AI if you want an affordable, prompt-led poster workflow with reference-image support and print-oriented output. Choose an alternative if integrations, native mobile apps or a broader connected design ecosystem are essential.
