Our verdict on DemoLens
DemoLens is a free browser-based viewer and analyzer for Counter-Strike 2 demo files. It is designed for players and teams reviewing matches without launching Counter-Strike 2. The product accepts .dem, .dem.gz and .dem.zst files, then uses local WebAssembly parsing in the browser without requiring an account or uploading the demo. Its focus is private, local inspection with a broad set of replay, statistics and communication views.
The analysis layer covers more than a basic replay timeline. DemoLens provides a 2D replay with multi-level radar, grenade trajectories, smoke and molotov timers, player models showing HP, gear and view direction, plus round timeline, kill feed, damage and economy views. Movement trails, heatmap-style pins and drawing mode support visual review, while player statistics include ADR, KAST, rating and reaction time. Performance comparisons are also part of the product’s category capabilities.
DemoLens is especially suited to users who want a browser workflow with no account, upload or paid tier. FACEIT integration adds synchronized voice playback for FACEIT demos, and in-game chat translation extends review beyond movement and combat events. The trade-off is its narrow scope: it supports Counter-Strike 2 and presents analysis through a 2D viewer rather than a broader multi-game or 3D environment. Choose DemoLens for local CS2 demo inspection, detailed event breakdowns and utility review; choose another tool if you need support beyond CS2 or voice playback outside FACEIT demos.
