Our verdict on DayLock
DayLock is a mobile daily planner for people who want to shape their day into visual time blocks and stay accountable to them. Available on iOS and Android, it combines drag-and-drop scheduling with alarms for checking in and out of each block. Recurring blocks and day templates support repeatable routines, while completion rates, streaks, and analytics help users review how consistently they follow their plans. It is aimed at solo users and small-scale personal planning rather than team scheduling.
The free plan includes unlimited time blocks, alarm check-ins and check-outs, templates, recurring blocks, calendar import, and 7-day analytics. Pro costs £7.99 per month, billed monthly, and adds the AI Day Planner, unlimited analytics history, JSON data export, and priority support. A 7-day free trial is offered. The paid upgrade is most relevant for people who want AI-generated plans or a longer view of their completion patterns; users satisfied with manual time blocking and a week of analytics can stay on Free.
DayLock’s distinctive focus is accountability attached to scheduled blocks: alarms prompt check-in and check-out rather than leaving a plan as a passive calendar view. Calendar-event import can help bring existing events into planning, but the product description does not establish calendar synchronization, so it may not suit someone who needs schedules to stay synced across calendars. The app is mobile-only, with email support and no 24/7 support. Choose DayLock for structured personal routines and block-by-block follow-through; consider another planner if desktop access or verified calendar sync is essential.
