Datanamic Data Generator is desktop software for creating realistic, syntactically correct test data for database testing. It is aimed at database administrators, developers, and testers who need to populate databases or generate SQL insert scripts. The software selects generators based on schema and column characteristics, offers more than 40 predefined and customizable generators, and can create data from scratch or existing data sources. It supports Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Access, Azure SQL, SQLite, InterBase, Firebird, and PostgreSQL.

Pricing is straightforward across Standard and Professional editions. Monthly pricing is €25 for Standard and €50 for Professional. Standard supports up to 10,000 rows per table and 50 tables, while Professional removes those limits. Annual pricing is €195 for Standard and €395 for Professional; three-year pricing is €468 and €948 respectively. One-time pricing is €395 for Standard and €795 for Professional. All listed plans include meaningful test data, direct database population, SQL insert scripts, and a command-line utility. A 14-day trial is available, but there is no free plan.

Its strongest fit is database-focused work where schema awareness, related-table consistency, and repeatable generation matter more than a broad data-management suite. Referential integrity helps preserve relationships between related tables, while user-defined masks support structured values. The command-line utility adds an automation path for recurring workflows. The main qualification is product direction: Datanamic states that Data Generator is no longer a core product and points visitors toward DeZign for Databases. Choose Data Generator when its database generation scope and pricing match your needs; consider the vendor’s directed alternative if ongoing product focus is a deciding factor.
