Our verdict on DanceBiz
DanceBiz is administration software for dance studios and other class-based businesses. It brings together visual class, daily, weekly and staff scheduling with student records, attendance history, event planning, staff management, communications, online registration and customer self-service. Studios can also manage invoicing, recurring charges, payment collection, skill tracking and progress reports. The product is available through Windows and Mac desktop applications, with smartphone access for Android and iOS devices, and is positioned for small, mid-market and enterprise organizations.
Its breadth is the main reason to consider it. A studio can connect operational workflows across classes, staff, students, events and payments instead of handling each area separately. The published integrations include Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, Ezidebit, Worldpay, GoCardless and AskNicely. Customer portals, online class registration, email, SMS and automated notifications extend the platform beyond internal administration. Two-step authentication is also included, while support is available by email and phone.
DanceBiz uses paid subscriptions with a 14-day free trial and tiered plans named Biz50, Biz100, Biz250, Biz500 and Biz1000. Subscription levels are based on listed active customers, not students, and the product supports studios with up to 1,000 listed active customers.
