Our verdict on Currency.Wiki

Currency.Wiki is a freemium currency-conversion service for travelers, businesses and general users who need more than a one-off exchange calculation. It supports 173 currencies, mid-market rates refreshed every minute during forex hours on the web, historical charts, multi-currency comparisons and target-rate alerts. Web, iOS, Android and Chrome extension access make it suitable for individuals, small teams and mid-market users working across devices.

The free account includes basic conversion, historical charts covering up to one year and three price alerts with daily notifications. Paid plans are monthly: Web Pro costs $3.99 and adds charts beyond five years, unlimited exports, 50 alerts and an ad-free experience; Extension Pro costs $7.95 and adds unlimited in-page conversion, Price Scanner, unlimited exports and priority support; Document Pro costs $9.99 and includes Web Pro features, 100 document credits monthly, CSV, Excel, QuickBooks and JSON exports, plus AI translation to more than 70 languages. The website advertises a seven-day trial without a card.

Its standout breadth comes from platform-specific tools. Android supports offline conversion with cached rates, camera-based OCR and AI price scanning, resizable widgets and Wear OS tiles, while the browser extension converts prices on webpages. Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, WordPress and Shopify integrations extend export and workflow options, and support is available through email, tickets and documentation. Choose Currency.Wiki if alerts, historical analysis, offline mobile access and cross-platform extras matter; choose a simpler converter if you only need basic exchange calculations or do not need paid export and document features.
