Curity Identity Server review
A standards-focused OAuth and identity server for supported commercial deployments.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Curity Identity Server is a standards-based identity and access platform for organizations securing applications, APIs, services and machine identities. It provides an OAuth 2.0 authorization server, token issuance and validation, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0 federation, user management, SCIM 2.0, client registration and token exchange. Customer-controlled deployment is supported on premises, in private or public clouds, and in Docker or Kubernetes environments, making it suited to teams that need control over identity infrastructure and authentication flows.
The pricing structure starts with the free Community Edition, which supports unlimited users, username/password and social identity providers, and a complete OAuth server. A 14-day trial is also available. Standard Edition adds unlimited authentication methods, the Hypermedia Authentication API, unlimited databases and repositories, the Curity SDK, and Access Intelligence for AI agents. Enterprise Edition adds the DevOps Dashboard and OAuth Tools app, a SAML identity provider and 24/7 support. Token Handler is a separate option that works with any IAM system or identity provider, supports unlimited users, APIs and applications, and is compatible with most API gateways. Paid editions require a sales conversation.
Curity’s main strength is breadth across standards, deployment models and administration methods. Teams can configure the server through the Admin UI, CLI, RESTCONF or GraphQL, while integrations include Prometheus, Grafana, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes. Features such as dynamic client registration, database clients, machine-to-machine flows, introspection, revocation and downscoping suit complex API and service environments. Choose Curity when standards coverage, self-hosting and supported commercial deployment matter; a simpler OAuth-only tool may be a better fit for teams that do not need federation, multiple management interfaces or enterprise support.
