csvkit review
A capable free toolkit for repeatable CSV workflows, if you prefer the command line.

csvkit is an open-source suite of command-line utilities for developers, analysts, and other users working with tabular data. It converts Excel, JSON, DBF, GeoJSON, and fixed-width files to CSV, then supports cleaning, filtering, column selection, sorting, joining, and format conversion. Its tools accept files or standard input and can be chained through standard output, making csvkit a fit for repeatable CSV engineering on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
The toolkit covers the main stages of a CSV workflow. It reports descriptive statistics, data types, nulls, unique values, ranges, and frequencies for profiling. It can check and fix common CSV errors, including mismatched row lengths and empty columns, while column tools select, exclude, and reorder fields. Join support includes inner, full outer, left, and right joins. These capabilities make csvkit useful when preparation work involves inspection and transformation rather than a single file conversion.
Database connectivity adds another practical path for prepared data. csvkit can generate SQL statements and load or query CSV data through SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, DuckDB, CrateDB, and Ingres. It also exports CSV data to JSON and other output formats, including visualization-friendly output. The published distribution model is free, open source, and MIT-licensed, with no paid tier described. Choose csvkit for scriptable, composable CSV pipelines and database-oriented workflows; choose a different tool if a visual interface or a broader non-CSV preparation environment is central to your process.
