Cribl Edge review
A flexible edge telemetry agent for collecting, processing, and routing distributed endpoint data.

Cribl Edge is a telemetry collection and processing agent for ITOps, SecOps, and observability teams managing distributed endpoints. It collects host, container, and application telemetry from Linux, Windows, macOS, containers, and Kubernetes environments. The product supports logs, metrics, application data, and traces, while centralized fleet management helps teams control Edge nodes across their environment. Deployment is available through Cribl.Cloud or on customer-managed infrastructure.
Its ecosystem supports Cribl Stream, Cribl Search, Cribl Lake, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Loki, Splunk, Amazon CloudWatch Logs, Amazon Kinesis, Kafka, Datadog, Elasticsearch, Google Cloud Logging, Microsoft Sentinel, and New Relic. Teams can use pipeline and function-based processing to filter, parse, enrich, validate, and reshape telemetry before routing it to multiple destinations. Local search and preview through teleporting provide configuration visibility, while centralized upgrades and version control support fleet administration. This makes Edge a practical fit where endpoint data must move into several observability, security, or analytics systems.
The Free plan includes Universal Sources, Unlimited Pipelines, Unlimited Routes, and Community Support, with a 1TB/day limit. Standard and Enterprise add cloud ingestion for logs, metrics, and application data. Standard includes Git backup, notifications, and 8×5 Support, while Enterprise adds Multiple Workspaces, Connected Environments, RBAC and Federated Auth, and a dedicated 24×7 Support Team. Cloud ingest for Standard and Enterprise is listed at 0.21 Credits/GB. Cribl Edge suits organizations that need broad telemetry handling and centralized edge operations; teams needing more platform options or enterprise controls without moving to the higher tier should consider alternatives.
