Our verdict on Corban
Corban is church giving and donation management software for churches and ministries. It brings donor profiles, contact information, giving history, donation tracking, recurring giving, tax-receipt workflows, reports, donor self-onboarding, a donor portal, and donor communications into one web-based product. Small churches getting started are the clearest fit, particularly those that want donor administration without paying a percentage of donations.
Pricing is organized around a free plan and three paid tiers: Starter, Growth, and Pro. The Free plan is for churches and ministries getting started and requires no credit card. Starter is aimed at small churches and ministries just getting started, Growth is for growing churches, and Pro is for larger churches with advanced needs. The published plans show a starting price of 19, a 14-day free trial for the paid tiers, and an annual billing option with a stated 10% saving. Plans are available for organizations with up to 20 donors through larger churches with unlimited donors, with the subscription model based on donor count rather than a percentage of donations.
The strongest functional coverage is in everyday giving administration. Corban supports cash, cheque, and e-transfer donation categorization, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly recurring giving, CRA and IRS donation receipts, charts, data export, personalized donor emails, and automated pledge reminders. Donors can onboard through secure links and QR codes, then access giving history, receipts, and contact updates through the portal. Churches needing a focused, web-based donor system with free access should consider Corban. Organizations that require text-to-give, campaign pages, or verified integrations should choose a different platform.
