Connect-rs is a native desktop application for managing remote connections on Linux. It brings SSH, RDP, VNC, Telnet, SFTP and local connections into a tabbed interface, with folders, tags, search, favourites, tunnels, jump hosts, credential storage and audit logging. Its offline-first connection library does not require an account or cloud synchronization. Linux x86_64 and ARM64 downloads are available, making it suited to Linux users who want one local tool for varied remote-access workflows.

The published plans show a useful free entry point. Free costs $0 forever and includes all protocols, tunnels and port forwarding, folders, tags and search, import and export, an audit log and email support. Pro costs $39 per user per year with annual billing. It adds unlimited saved connections and offline activation while retaining the same listed protocol and organization features. The pricing page states that displayed prices exclude tax. This structure fits individual users who want to start without a subscription, while Pro is more relevant to people managing a larger connection library or needing offline activation.

Its strongest technical breadth is on the desktop itself. SSH includes VT100/ANSI support, colour, scrollback and tab broadcasting; native RDP supports RemoteFX, NLA/CredSSP, fullscreen and direct input routing; and the dual-pane SFTP browser includes transfers, sync and diff preview. Local, remote and dynamic SOCKS tunnels support jump hosts, while imports cover Royal TS, PuTTY, WinSCP, CSV and Ansible inventories. Credential definitions, folder inheritance, optional OS-keychain storage, Wake-on-LAN and background TCP pre-flight probes add operational depth. Choose Connect-rs for Linux-focused, offline-first administration; teams needing shared connections or users on macOS and Windows should consider a product with current support for those platforms.
