Compose is a web experimentation platform from Compose Software, LLC for businesses, startups, agencies, and ecommerce teams. It supports A/B/n testing, split URL testing, audience segmentation, custom goals and triggers, traffic allocation, QA testing, code-based variants, and real-time reports with frequentist statistical calculations. Shopify teams can test themes and templates without code, while web teams can create variants through a code editor. The product is best suited to focused website and Shopify programs with relatively low testing volume.

Pricing is usage-based rather than a conventional flat subscription. The Early Adopter Plan costs $0.0012 per monthly tested user and includes unlimited experiments, variants, collaborators, and projects, along with CRO strategic planning tools, web experimentation features, and real-time reports. Compose also lists a Half-day with Compose team option at $400 one-time, with technical onboarding, consulting, and a video session with the Compose team. The Full-day with Compose team option costs $800 one-time and includes technical onboarding, consulting, and a video session with the Compose engineering team. Compose says users can explore the platform for free until launching their first experiment, although it does not offer a traditional free trial.

Compose connects with Google Analytics 4, BigQuery, and Shopify, giving teams a practical fit for common analytics and ecommerce workflows. Its audience targeting, custom goals, triggers, traffic allocation, and QA mode support a structured experimentation process, while real-time reporting keeps results visible during active tests. The trade-off is scope: the platform is web-focused and does not support server-side testing. Teams that need server-side experimentation or broader platform coverage should choose a tool built around those requirements instead. Compose is a sensible pick for low-volume web and Shopify experiments where usage-based pricing and core testing controls matter most.
