Our verdict on Comic Fuz
Comic Fuz is Houbunsha’s manga-reading website and app for readers interested in the publisher’s original manga and magazine series. It is available on the web, iOS, and Android, with a free plan and a mix of chapter access, medal purchases, and subscriptions. Its Japanese-language catalog is a fit for readers following Houbunsha titles; it is less suited to anyone looking for broad manga coverage across publishers or reading offline.
Access combines daily recharging Charge items, Silver medals earned through in-app events and other activities, and Gold medals that can be purchased. Charge access and Silver medals let readers open some chapters for free, while Gold medals can buy magazines and collected manga volumes. Magazine subscriptions provide unlimited reading of eligible titles rather than the entire catalog. The Light Plan includes 60 Silver medals; the Standard Plan includes 300 Gold medals and 180 Silver medals. The Boys' Love Plan provides subscription access to eligible magazines. The published starting price is ¥360, associated with the Boys' Love Plan; availability can vary by app store or region.
The account feature syncs purchase and rental history between the browser and app, and the Yell feature lets readers send Gold-medal support to creators. Those options make the service more useful for readers who move between devices or want to support creators while reading. Reading is streaming-based, so it does not suit readers who need offline downloads. Choose Comic Fuz for Houbunsha’s Japanese manga and selected magazine subscriptions; consider another service if you want a broader publisher mix or offline access.
