Collage Payroll brings payroll processing into Collage’s HR, time-off and timesheet platform for Canadian businesses. It is aimed at small and mid-market teams that want employee records, time off and pay information together. The product supports hourly and salaried employees as well as contractors, and provides pay stubs, T4 and T4A tax documents, and preparation and filing of Records of Employment. The vendor says payroll is available in several Canadian provinces, but not Quebec, so its geographic fit is an important consideration for employers.

According to the vendor’s pricing page, the HR and Payroll plan costs $18 CAD per employee per month and includes payroll software, CRA remittances, pay stubs and T4s, and time-off and time-tracking sync. The Enterprise plan has custom packages and pricing. Direct deposit to employees and CRA is supported, and employees can access pay stubs and tax information in the same platform used for time-off requests and timesheets. Payroll data sync is also available with supported third-party providers, including ADP, Ceridian/Dayforce PowerPay, Desjardins, Nethris, Payworks and Wagepoint. The connected workflow is most relevant where a business wants payroll to use approved time off and employee hours rather than treat those records separately.

The main trade-offs are the per-employee monthly price and the Quebec exclusion. The listed platform is web, and support channels include email and documentation. Optional managed payroll services are also offered. Teams outside Quebec seeking an HR-and-payroll combination, particularly those with a mix of employee pay types, may find the scope relevant. Businesses requiring Quebec payroll or looking for a payroll product without the bundled HR context should compare alternatives before choosing Collage Payroll.
