Our verdict on Coeducate
Coeducate is cloud-based reading-comprehension intervention software for educators supporting students in grades 3–12, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 groups. Students write responses to questions about literary or informational texts their teachers already use. Its AI tutor provides coaching prompts and hints rather than simply supplying an answer, then creates dated, per-skill mastery records with evidence from each learner’s response. The approach is designed to complement existing curriculum and screening tools while helping educators identify misconceptions and plan reteaching.
Pricing is organized by program and billed either monthly or annually. Classroom costs $74 per program per month with annual billing or $89 monthly, covering 1 educator, up to 60 students and 500 evidence cards per month, plus CSV mastery export and email support. School is $290 annually billed or $349 monthly, expanding capacity to 10 educators, 600 students and 5,000 evidence cards, with custom material upload, scheduled reports and Google Workspace for Education SSO. District costs $1,075 annually billed or $1,290 monthly for up to 75 educators, 5,000 students and 40,000 evidence cards, adding standards mapping, SIS/LMS export, Clever, ClassLink and SAML SSO. Enterprise has custom limits, integrations, identity provider and SLA.
The standout capability is the evidence trail tied to individual skills: educators can review what a student wrote, see where comprehension broke down and use that record to guide follow-up instruction. Literary and informational text support, existing classroom materials and CSV export make the workflow adaptable across subjects. Schools needing scheduled reporting, standards alignment or broader identity and data-system connections should look at School or District rather than Classroom. Coeducate is a fit for schools analyzing written comprehension in small-group or wider intervention settings; teams seeking a decoding program, built-in passage library or broader support coverage should consider another option.
