Code Fundi review
A code search workspace for researching repositories with AI, maps, and editor access.

Code Fundi is a cloud code search service that turns indexed repositories into searchable, structure-aware codebase maps. It is designed for software engineers, research teams, and AI agents that need to investigate code, understand dependencies, generate documentation, or assess the impact of changes. Workflows are available through the web app and HTTP API, with MCP support for agents and editors plus integrations for VS Code, Cursor, and Windsurf.
The Free plan provides 500 credits, a public repository index, 24-hour usage logs, Simple Markdown data, single-codebase search and chat, and email support. Dev adds 5,000 credits per month, 10 private repository indexes, seven-day usage logs, Detailed Markdown data, multi-codebase search and chat, and priority support. Startup expands those allowances to 15,000 credits per month, 30 private repository indexes, and 30-day usage logs. Pro raises them to 50,000 credits per month, 50 private repository indexes, 60-day usage logs, Enterprise-grade Markdown data, and dedicated support. All paid tiers retain multi-codebase search and chat, with documentation depth and support level increasing by plan.
Its strongest fit is repository research that benefits from several complementary views: semantic search for intent, exact grep for known patterns, documentation-aware grep, dependency and structural mapping, and blast-radius analysis for files, dependencies, and pull requests. Grounded AI research and Markdown context generation extend those capabilities to agents and internal tools, while the API covers search, indexing, repositories, files, and analysis. Teams focused on one public codebase can start with Free; teams working across private repositories or multiple codebases should consider Dev, Startup, or Pro. A narrower search tool may suit buyers who do not need mapping, documentation, or agent integrations.
Code Fundi pros and cons

- Grounds AI research in code search results and repository context
- Offers web, HTTP API, MCP, VS Code, Cursor, and Windsurf access
- Where it doesn't
- Free access is limited to 500 credits and a single codebase
- Public repository indexing is included only in the Free plan
- Multi-codebase research and private indexes require a paid plan
