COATS Staffing Software review
A broad staffing platform for agencies that need recruiting and back-office operations together.

COATS Staffing Software is an integrated platform for staffing agencies and recruiting firms that need more than candidate tracking. Its scope covers applicant records, job-order management, online employment applications, resume uploads and parsing, interview scheduling, job postings, onboarding, employee and client portals, CRM, payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. That breadth makes it a fit for mature staffing operations managing recruiting and back-office work in one system, rather than teams seeking a narrowly focused ATS.
The published plans show a paid subscription model with a COATS Annual Subscription covering the employee applicant tracking system, CRM, job-order management, calendar scheduling, payroll and accounting modules, and more than 300 included reports. Separate offerings add online applications, resume uploads and parsing, online job postings, resume databases with Boolean searching, employee portals, and client portals. According to the vendor's pricing document, the base subscription is billed by license, optional value-added services are listed separately, and setup fees may apply. Buyers should therefore assess the full deployment scope before choosing a package.
COATS also stands out for its platform and ecosystem coverage. It supports web, Windows, and self-hosted environments, with integrations including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Crystal Reports, Haley Marketing Career Portal, IntelliPath, Efficient Hire, staffing benefits services, BRANCH, and Wisely. Employee features include availability updates, online W-2s, pay stubs, and pay history, while client users can update contacts, review or create job orders, and review invoices. Choose COATS if staffing-specific operations, portals, payroll, and accounting are central requirements. An ATS-only team may prefer a narrower product with less back-office scope.
