Cloudpods is an open-source cloud management platform for organizations operating private and public infrastructure across multiple environments. It provides a unified interface for public clouds, private clouds, VMware, bare metal, Kubernetes, and built-in KVM private-cloud environments. The product is suited to infrastructure teams that need centralized resource operations, multi-tenant access control, cloud-account synchronization, and several management interfaces rather than a narrowly focused single-cloud tool.
The open-source version is free and supports web, API, and self-hosted deployment. Cloudpods can be deployed through Docker Compose or Kubernetes, while the platform also provides command-line management with climc, REST API access, and SDK access. Its integration coverage includes Alibaba Cloud, Azure, Tencent Cloud, AWS, Huawei Cloud, UCloud, Google Cloud, China Telecom Cloud, VMware, ZStack, DStack, OpenStack, Alibaba Apsara Stack, and HCSO. Separate commercial editions add enterprise cloud and FinOps capabilities, so organizations seeking those functions should assess the commercial offerings alongside the open-source platform.
Operational depth is a central strength. Cloudpods includes bare-metal lifecycle management, Kubernetes cluster management, built-in KVM management, multi-cloud SSO, IAM and RBAC, approval controls for enterprise work-order permission operations, and scheduled resource-sync and billing tasks. It can synchronize cloud-account resources and billing information, giving teams a shared operating layer across heterogeneous infrastructure. Choose Cloudpods when open-source deployment, self-hosting, and multi-cloud resource coordination matter. Organizations that only manage one cloud, or that specifically need a verified workflow builder, may prefer a narrower automation product.
