Citrix SecurSpaces review
A security-focused Linux workspace platform with GPU support and enterprise controls.

Citrix SecurSpaces provides containerized Linux development environments for internal, remote, and platform engineering teams. Developers can launch preconfigured workspaces through a browser, use browser-based VS Code and terminal access, or connect through JetBrains IDEs, SSH, and local development tools. Administrators can define workspace templates, manage custom container images and startup scripts, control repositories and resources, and apply access, network, and data-loss-prevention settings. The platform supports customer-hosted Kubernetes deployments and Citrix-hosted SecurSpaces Flex delivery.
Security and workspace control are the product’s clearest strengths. SecurSpaces includes secrets, data buckets, mount-point storage, persistent home-directory storage, network policies, clipboard controls, and workspace-app security. Its REST API covers workspace, project, resource, and reporting automation, giving platform teams a way to manage environments programmatically. GPU-enabled workspace configuration also makes the product relevant to development and AI workloads that need more than a standard CPU workspace.
Integration coverage supports common enterprise development flows, including GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, JFrog, HashiCorp Vault, and Citrix DaaS. The listed access options span web, Linux, API, and self-hosted deployments, while JetBrains support and SSH connectivity extend beyond a browser-only workflow. Pricing is less transparent: the product uses contact-sales pricing, and SecurSpaces Flex uses Citrix Platform Flex credits rather than a public per-user monthly price. Choose SecurSpaces when security controls, persistent Linux workspaces, GPU configuration, and enterprise integrations are priorities. Teams that need clearly published subscription pricing or a broader desktop-oriented environment should consider an alternative.
