Checkvist is a web-based outliner, task manager, and list-making tool for individuals and teams that organize projects, research, checklists, notes, and structured writing. Its keyboard-first approach supports unlimited nesting, Markdown, tables, code, images, tags, attachments, due dates, and task assignment. Navigation includes search, filtering, saved searches, focus/hoist, expansion by level, and options to hide completed items or future tasks. Sharing supports private and public lists with reader or writer permissions.
The free plan is unusually capable for core outlining and collaboration. It includes unlimited hierarchical lists, unlimited sharing and collaboration, Markdown, import and export, a mobile offline web app, and browser extensions. Exports cover OPML, plain text, Markdown, and rich text. The published plans show a 14-day free trial, while PRO costs $3.90 per user per month or $39 per user per year. PRO adds 2 GB of file storage, bookmarks, task assignment, repeating tasks, Google Calendar synchronization, and an MCP server for AI assistants. PRO team is listed at $6.90 per user per month or $69 per user per year and adds centralized data ownership, user management, group access rights, spaces, locking, and priority support; the plan is labeled “COMING SOON.”
Checkvist fits teams that need shared, deeply nested information with practical task features and broad connection options. Integrations include Zapier, Dropbox, Google and other calendar services, Slack, Jira, YouTrack, Gmail, GitHub, GitLab, Zendesk, an Open API, and MCP. Browser extensions and a web clipper support information capture, while offline access covers the mobile progressive web app. Choose it when outline navigation, structured sharing, exports, and keyboard control matter more than a conventional project-management interface. Teams needing the listed administrative controls immediately should consider the availability status of PRO team before choosing it.
