  • Where it wins

    • Multi-level BOMs connect subassemblies to production planning.
    • Finite and infinite scheduling support different production planning needs.
    • Open REST API access and self-hosted deployment add flexibility.
  • Where it doesn't

    • The entry plan limits API access to 1,000 requests per month.
    • Priority support costs $650 per month beyond included community support.
    • The broad ERP scope may exceed the needs of narrow MRP users.

Our verdict on Cetec ERP

Cetec ERP is a web-based manufacturing ERP for small and mid-sized manufacturers and distributors. It brings quoting, engineering, purchasing, inventory, production, quality, shipping, accounting, and material requirements planning into one system. Its manufacturing coverage includes multi-level bills of materials, subassembly propagation, purchasing-oriented MRP, demand planning from forecasts and sales orders, work-order management, production scheduling, capacity modeling, shop-floor control, and inventory, lot, and serial traceability. It is suited to organizations that want MRP within a wider operational system rather than a standalone planning application.

The published subscription is $50 per user per month, billed monthly, and includes all Cetec ERP modules, features, standard reporting, cloud hosting, and server maintenance. The same plan includes API access of up to 1,000 requests per month. Community forum support, getting-started guides, and how-to videos are included. Standard support costs $650 per month and adds priority email or phone support plus a dedicated support and ticket portal. Enterprise support costs $3,200 per month and adds the highest-priority queue, a BI Platform, a sandbox test environment, and quarterly consulting calls. This structure keeps the entry price clear, while higher support tiers materially change the ongoing cost.

Cetec ERP also offers web, API, and self-hosted deployment options, including customer-managed and air-gapped deployment options for specialized security requirements. Integrations include ShipEngine, QuickBooks Online, ShipStation, CalcuQuote, CAD-to-BOM, and Custom Reporting & BI. The strongest fit is a manufacturer that needs purchasing, production, capacity, scheduling, and traceability in one environment with integration access. A company seeking only lightweight MRP, or one requiring more than 1,000 API requests per month without a different arrangement, should compare narrower or more integration-focused alternatives.
