CDNShark review
A budget-friendly CDN for developers delivering both live and on-demand video.

CDNShark is a cloud-based content delivery and edge platform for websites, APIs, media, and streaming workloads. It fits developers who need one service for pull-zone CDN delivery, video-on-demand, live streaming, storage, caching, and traffic analytics. The service is available through the web and API, with support for both live and VOD delivery. Its free tier makes it suitable for smaller projects, prototypes, and teams evaluating a video delivery workflow without committing to a paid plan.
Video delivery is the clearest strength. CDNShark can transcode MP4 and MKV uploads to HLS, deliver HLS output from RTMP or WebRTC/WHIP live ingest, and provide an embeddable built-in player. Playback controls include signed tokens, referrer-domain restrictions, and AES-128 HLS segment encryption. The platform also adds configurable cache TTLs, cache rules, cache purge, DNS proxying, custom CNAME hostnames, WAF, bot protection, GEO blocking, IP controls, and rate limiting. These features give developers control over both media delivery and the edge layer around it.
The Free plan includes 50 GB of monthly bandwidth, 5 GB of storage, 1 domain, 5 pull zones, and Stream for VOD and live video. Basic raises those allowances to 100 GB of bandwidth, 10 GB of storage, 10 domains, and 50 pull zones. Enterprise lists 1,000 TB of bandwidth, 1 TB of storage, 100 domains, and unlimited pull zones, while retaining VOD and live streaming. S3-compatible storage, Zapier, Make, n8n, OBS, and ffmpeg integrations broaden its workflow fit. Choose CDNShark for flexible video delivery with edge controls; teams requiring DRM, resolutions above 1080p, or a longer operating history should consider an alternative.
