Our verdict on Carrd
Carrd is a web-based builder for creating simple, responsive one-page websites. It fits artists who need a focused link site, profile, landing page, portfolio, email-capture page, or compact music presence rather than a multi-page website. Users can start from templates or a blank page, and the free plan supports publishing up to three sites. Carrd sites are created and managed in a browser, with no desktop software required.
Pricing is straightforward across the published annual plans. Pro Lite costs $9 per year for three sites, Premium URLs, no branding, custom templates, video uploads, and site transfers. Pro Standard costs $19 per year for 10 sites and adds custom domain URLs, forms, widgets and embeds, analytics, and meta tags. Pro Plus costs $49 per year for 25 sites, advanced forms, analytics, advanced settings, and site downloads. A seven-day free trial is also listed. For an artist's link site, Pro Lite covers basic publishing, while Pro Standard is the relevant tier when a custom domain, forms, or analytics are required.
The main strength is focus: responsive layouts, custom templates, custom code, third-party widgets, and payment-enabled forms support a compact artist destination.
