Capacities is a note-taking and personal knowledge-management application for writers, researchers, students, developers, managers, and other individual users. Instead of organizing content only as files and folders, it uses connected objects such as people, books, projects, meetings, and ideas. Daily notes, bidirectional links, backlinks, tags, collections, queries, multiple views, templates, structured properties, full-text search, media embeds, and file objects support a more systematic approach to personal knowledge. It runs on the web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, with offline note and media access plus synchronization across devices.
The published plans show a useful free entry point. Capacities Basic costs $0 per month and includes unlimited spaces, objects, and blocks; unlimited custom object types; import and export support; offline support; and synchronization across devices. Basic includes 5 GB of total media uploads, with 100 MB per month afterwards. Capacities Pro costs $9.99 per month and adds task management, an AI assistant, calendar integrations, smart queries, version history, and unlimited media uploads under fair-use terms. Capacities Believer costs $12.49 per month and includes everything in Pro, along with beta access to major new features and support for the independent team.
Its ecosystem is a notable fit for people who collect information from many sources. Integrations include Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar, Apple Calendar, CalDAV, Readwise, Kindle, WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, Todoist, TickTick, Things, Apple Reminders, Google Tasks, and Microsoft To Do. AI features include an assistant and media analysis, while Pro also adds API access. Individual objects can be shared for viewing, but collaborative editing is not supported. Capacities suits users who want structured personal knowledge management across devices; teams requiring real-time collaborative editing should choose another tool.
