CacheFly is a content delivery network for businesses serving streaming media, software downloads, websites, gaming assets, and other high-volume content. It is aimed at developers and delivery teams that need geographically distributed edge delivery, Anycast routing, cache controls, origin shielding, image transformation, adaptive bitrate video, and edge-side JavaScript logic. The web and API platform also supports use cases across media and entertainment, gaming, ad technology, and SaaS. CacheNetworks, LLC has offered the product since 2002.

The plan structure gives developers a low-commitment starting point. Free Developer includes a free developer account, 100 GB of bandwidth, and one domain. Adoption costs $299 per month and adds three domains, five origins, 10 TB per month, an EdgeControl sandbox, and the full API and Terraform provider. Production costs $1,499 per month and expands capacity to 50 domains and 10 origins, with full EdgeControl, WebSockets, optimized routing, and origin failover. Governance costs $3,499 per month and adds unlimited domains and origins, SSO, RBAC, audit logs, advanced analytics, and private connectivity options.

Its strongest fit is for teams that need more than basic file caching. CacheFly combines image and video delivery with shared or dedicated origin shielding, cache warming, purge controls, real-time edge log search and streaming, and BestHop path selection. Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana support can fit infrastructure and observability workflows. The main trade-off is plan progression: production delivery features and governance controls sit behind substantially higher monthly tiers, while the free plan is intentionally narrow. Developers evaluating a CDN for early projects should start with Free Developer; teams needing multiple domains, WebSockets, enterprise access controls, or private networking should consider the relevant paid tier.
