Our verdict on bSolid

bSolid is Biesse’s 3D CAD/CAM software for planning, programming and simulating CNC machining. It is aimed at furniture, joinery and other manufacturers working with Biesse CNC equipment, including small, mid-market and enterprise businesses. The desktop software supports CAD drawing and editing at the machine or on a remote PC, alongside programming for machining operations. Its focus is the CNC process, rather than a general-purpose manufacturing workflow.

Simulation is a central part of bSolid’s offer. It can simulate machining operations and calculate execution time, while digital-twin simulation represents the CNC process. Collision Control checks for machine-part contact, and tool visualization with tool-register data helps users inspect tooling in that process.
