Board Manager is web-based board-management software for small nonprofit organizations, especially executive directors, board chairs, governance committees, and board secretaries at nonprofits with zero to two staff. It brings member records, term tracking, committees, meetings, candidate recruitment, skills tracking, onboarding, and compliance documents into one system. Magic-link access lets board members participate without creating accounts, while CSV export supports member records and skills-matrix data. The product is best suited to organizations whose main challenge is keeping board membership and recruitment organized.
Pricing is straightforward. The permanent free Starter plan includes member terms and a roster, committees and meetings, a candidate pipeline, 500 emails per month, and support for up to 25 board members and candidates. Engage costs $19 per month on monthly billing and removes the member and candidate limit. It also adds compliance document signing, board-member onboarding checklists, a skills and diversity matrix, 2,500 emails per month, and 250 SMS messages per month.
