BlazeMeter review
A broad performance testing platform with limited service virtualization depth.

BlazeMeter is a performance and continuous testing platform for development, QA, and DevOps teams. It covers web applications, mobile backends, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems through load, browser-based, API, and stress testing. Tests can run in public cloud locations or private locations behind a firewall, giving teams a hybrid execution model. The platform also includes API monitoring, functional testing, test data capabilities, reporting, service virtualization, and CI/CD performance gates.
Pricing scales from a Free Starter tier to paid plans with higher concurrency and longer test durations. Free Starter includes 50 maximum virtual users, one shared load generator, 10 tests per month, a 20-minute maximum test duration, and one concurrent browser. Basic costs $149 per month with monthly billing or $99 per month with annual billing, and includes 1,000 concurrent users, 200 tests per year, one virtual service, and a one-hour maximum test duration. Pro costs $649 per month monthly or $499 per month annually, increasing capacity to 5,000 concurrent users, 80,000 VUH per year, two virtual services, and a five-hour maximum test duration.
BlazeMeter’s main advantage is breadth. It supports JMeter, Taurus, k6, Playwright, Gatling, and Selenium, alongside integrations with Jenkins, GitHub, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Real-time dashboards, performance reports, AI-assisted test analysis and test creation, and private-location execution extend its fit across development and delivery workflows. However, service virtualization is a supporting capability rather than the product’s central depth: paid plans list only one or two virtual services. Choose BlazeMeter when performance coverage and hybrid execution matter most; choose a more virtualization-focused product when broad virtual-service modeling is the primary requirement.
