Bitquery provides indexed blockchain data through GraphQL APIs, WebSocket streams, and other delivery interfaces. It suits developers and data teams building analytics, dashboards, trading tools, and DeFi applications that need cross-chain activity or market data. Queries can cover DEX trades and OHLCV, transfers, balances, holders, blocks, transactions, contract events, and mempool activity. The platform also offers historical data access and recovery, with historical data packs available separately.

The self-service plans are billed annually: Personal is $29 per month, Pro is $69, and Scale is $199. Personal includes 100k API points per month, real-time GraphQL and REST APIs, 10 core chains, and a personal-use license. Pro raises the allowance to 1M API points per month and adds live WebSocket streaming, commercial use, and community and Telegram support. Scale provides 5M API points per month, live WebSocket streaming, commercial use, and dedicated Slack support. A seven-day trial is available. Enterprise adds complete historical data across 40+ chains, unlimited WebSocket streaming, Kafka and S3 bulk exports, SLA, and SSO. This tier structure makes the choice largely about usage volume, commercial rights, support, and delivery needs.

For teams that need to bring blockchain data into analytics workflows, Bitquery integrates with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Spark, Athena, Airflow, and dbt; Enterprise also lists Kafka and Parquet exports. Its focus is data access and indexing rather than deploying smart contracts or operating raw blockchain nodes. Buyers seeking a contract deployment environment or node hosting should look elsewhere. Teams that need indexed, queryable activity across chains—with enterprise-scale streaming or warehouse delivery as requirements grow—are a better fit.

Bitquery pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • GraphQL and WebSocket access to real-time and historical blockchain data
    • Cross-chain queries cover trades, transfers, contract events, and mempool activity
    • Enterprise options include Kafka, Parquet, and warehouse integrations
  • Where it doesn't
    • Personal is limited to 10 core chains and a personal-use license
    • Personal's 100k monthly API points may constrain heavier workloads
    • It provides indexed data, not contract deployment or node operation
