Our verdict on BIO-key Passkey:YOU
BIO-key Passkey:YOU is a cloud-deployed, FIDO2-compatible passwordless authentication solution for organizations managing workforce access. It combines identity-bound biometric authentication with employee badge authentication, giving teams alternatives to phones and hardware tokens. Listed use cases include shared workstations, healthcare, education, regulated remote work, and frontline or roving employees. The product is aimed at organizations that need authentication tied to employees and their workstations rather than a consumer passkey experience.
Its standout capability is the combination of biometrics and workplace credentials. BIO-key describes support for more than 30 fingerprint scanners, along with centralized enrollment and management and hosted server-based authentication. That makes the product relevant where users authenticate at shared or fixed workstations, or where frontline and roving employees need an authentication method suited to workplace access. Employee badges add another option for organizations that already use them as part of daily operations.
Passkey:YOU also fits environments with an existing identity stack. The published integrations include Microsoft Entra, Okta, Ping, and Duo, while SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect provide connections to IAM platforms. Microsoft Intune client deployment is listed for Windows environments. Pricing is handled through contact sales, and the listed platforms are web and Windows. Organizations seeking workforce authentication built around biometrics, badges, and established IAM integrations should consider Passkey:YOU; teams wanting a broadly platform-spanning or self-service-priced passkey product should look elsewhere.
