Bexio is cloud-based business software for Swiss small businesses, startups and self-employed people, with a fit for gyms managing accounting alongside invoices, expenses, banking, payroll, customers, inventory, projects and time tracking. Its core accounting supports both double-entry and cash accounting, while quotes, invoices, payment reminders, supplier invoices and receipt capture keep routine financial work in one system. Browser-based access requires no installation, and mobile receipt scanning supports document capture away from a desk.

Pricing is structured across four plans, with annual-plan amounts displayed as monthly equivalents. Basic costs CHF 35 per month when billed annually or CHF 45 monthly and includes accounting, e-banking, expenses, quotes and invoices, contacts, projects and time tracking. Advanced costs CHF 42 per month annually or CHF 52 monthly, adding AI posting of QR invoices and receipts; payroll accounting is available as an add-on. Optima costs CHF 69 annually or CHF 79 monthly and adds inventory management, while Ultimate costs CHF 119 annually or CHF 129 monthly and includes payroll accounting, Bexio Pay and AI posting. A 30-day free trial is available, with no card required.

For Swiss gyms, the main distinction is payroll: Ultimate includes payroll accounting, and Bexio states that its payroll feature carries Swissdec certification. Bank transaction feeds and automatic reconciliation support Swiss banks, while the Bexio Marketplace, API and OpenID Connect extend the platform's ecosystem. Cloud backups and automatic updates reduce local maintenance, and support is available through email, chat, phone and documentation, with 24/7 support listed. Bexio is a strong choice for small Swiss gyms wanting broad administrative coverage and certified payroll; teams needing a free plan or a desktop-first platform should look elsewhere.
