Our verdict on Bento

Bento combines broadcast email, visual automation workflows, CRM profiles, segmentation, forms and popups, analytics, and transactional email in one web and API platform. It is aimed at technical teams managing event-driven messaging, including organizations that need campaigns triggered by purchases, forms, site activity, or other tracked events. Its feature set suits teams that want marketing and transactional communication connected to customer profiles rather than a newsletter-only tool.

The published Marketing Platform plan starts at $29 per month for up to 5,000 Active Users and includes email marketing, marketing automation, segmentation, CRM, forms and popups, and unlimited marketing sends on paid plans. Listed volume tiers charge $0.01, $0.009, or $0.008 per active user per month and include automatic volume discounts, unlimited marketing sends, and automations. Transactional Email includes the first 100 emails at $0, then a $5 per month plan, with API sending, SMTP relay support, delivery and engagement tracking, webhooks, and bounce and suppression handling. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan.

Bento's strongest case is its combination of behavioral automation and developer-oriented delivery tools. Audience rules can use tags, fields, and events, while integrations include WordPress, Stripe, Zapier, WooCommerce, Shopify, Segment, Webflow, and languages or frameworks such as Go, Rust, Swift, Node.js, Ruby, Laravel, Python, and PHP. Teams can also use A/B split testing for automation paths and track revenue attribution. Choose Bento when event data, CRM context, and transactional delivery matter together; choose a simpler email tool if the priority is low-cost newsletter sending without a paid entry plan.
