Belune is an open-source, self-hosted platform-as-a-service for developers running applications and databases on infrastructure they control. It runs as a Go binary alongside Docker on a Linux server and is intended for solo developers and small teams who want a dashboard-driven way to manage workloads without Kubernetes. Applications can be deployed by pushing to Git, and a one-click catalog offers ready-to-run app templates.

The platform covers a broad set of application operations: managed PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and other databases; scheduled database backups with one-command restores; persistent volumes and mounts; automatic HTTPS and domain certificate status; live resource graphs and leveled logs; and a browser-based container terminal. An HTTP API with personal access tokens supports programmatic management. Notifications can connect to Discord, Slack, email, and webhooks, while S3-compatible storage is also supported. This makes Belune more than a deployment path, with storage and database management included in the self-hosted setup.

Belune is a fit when control over the server matters and an operator is comfortable managing that infrastructure. Its free model and self-hosted deployment avoid relying on a vendor-hosted Docker service, but also leave server operations with the user; the published support channel is documentation. Teams that need vendor-run hosting or direct support should consider another option. Compose import is planned rather than currently supported, so projects dependent on importing Compose files may need a different workflow. Choose Belune for a self-managed Linux-and-Docker environment; look elsewhere if that operational responsibility or the current import limitation does not suit your team.
