Balsamo CTRM brings trade capture, pricing, risk, logistics and finance into a front-to-back system for commodity producers, trading houses and consumers. Its scope spans metals and concentrates, fertilizers, agricultural and soft commodities, and energy. That makes it relevant to desks handling multiple commodity types and both physical flows and financial trades, rather than teams seeking a narrowly focused trading tool. The product is offered as Swiss-hosted SaaS or on premises, and the vendor describes a free proof of concept using customer data for 3–6 months.
The breadth is its defining strength. Users can manage trade lifecycles, pricing formulas and metals rules alongside real-time positions, P&L, mark-to-market, VaR, stress tests and scenario analysis. Inventory and shipping events connect physical operations to futures, options, spread, average and forex trades. Accounting, invoicing, accruals, settlement, reconciliation, treasury, cash flow, credit lines and FX exposure extend the system into financial operations.
