BackBox is a network cyber resilience and automation platform for enterprise network and security teams. It supports device onboarding and inventory, configuration backup and comparison, one-click restore, lifecycle operations, compliance checks, vulnerability remediation, and automated network tasks across multivendor environments. The platform supports more than 180 vendors and can run on-premises or in public or private clouds, making it a fit for organizations managing complex network estates and configuration lifecycles.
The Kilter plans divide capability by operational maturity. Kilter ALM covers onboarding, inventory, automated configuration backup, restore, task automation, and OS and firmware upgrades. Kilter Enterprise adds compliance automation, policy management, vulnerability intelligence, and automated compliance remediation. Kilter AI builds on that foundation with an automation creation assistant, CVE workaround insights, and CVE workaround chains. Pricing follows a contact-sales model, so BackBox is positioned for organizations evaluating a broader platform purchase rather than teams looking for a simple self-serve network tool.
Integration and control features are central to the platform’s enterprise fit. REST/OpenAPI access supports custom integrations, while listed connections include ServiceNow, LogicMonitor, CyberArk, Kentik, Cisco Meraki, Slack, and Opengear. Role-based access control and secure multitenancy support separated operational responsibilities, and configuration drift reporting, policy automation, and remediation connect daily network operations with governance requirements. BackBox is the stronger choice for teams that need multivendor lifecycle control, recoverability, compliance, and automation in one system. Smaller teams or organizations focused primarily on basic monitoring may find its enterprise scope broader than necessary.
