Backblaze Business Computer Backup is a cloud service for continuously backing up user-generated data from business Mac and Windows computers. It is aimed at organizations managing distributed teams, employee endpoints, and offboarding or device-loss recovery from a centralized web interface. The service includes unlimited backup storage per device, automatic protection, version history, and recovery through the web, applications, or a shipped drive. Its scope is primarily file backup, making it a focused option for protecting endpoint data rather than a broad system-imaging platform.
The published Business Backup plan costs $99 per computer per year and includes unlimited backup per device, one-year version history, automatic protection, ransomware and device-loss recovery, and no storage limits or overage fees. A 15-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Enterprise Control adds Legal Hold, OIDC single sign-on, granular restore and access permissions, backup lockdown controls, centralized user and device management, and advanced retention and data-governance controls. This structure gives smaller teams a straightforward per-computer price while providing a separate set of controls for organizations with stricter administrative requirements.
For endpoint administration, Backblaze supports centralized web-based management and deployment automation through MDM and RMM tools. Listed integrations include Jamf, Kandji, Addigy, and Intune, while security-related features include two-factor authentication, encryption, SSO options, retention controls, legal hold, and restore-access permissions. Ransomware recovery uses clean file versions, and recovery also covers accidental deletion and employee offboarding. Choose it when unlimited file backup, simple pricing, and Mac and Windows coverage are the priority. Consider an alternative when full system imaging or a broader backup scope matters more than focused endpoint file protection.
