A broad Azure integration service for teams that need visual, hybrid, and B2B workflows.

Azure Logic Apps is a Microsoft Azure service for designing and running automated workflows across applications, services, data sources, and APIs. It is aimed at enterprises that need a visual workflow designer alongside deeper integration controls, including custom connectors, HTTP and webhook triggers, code steps, B2B integration, and hybrid deployment. The service supports web, API, and self-hosted environments, making it particularly relevant for organizations already standardized on Microsoft Azure and related Microsoft services.
Its three plans address different operating models. Consumption uses multitenant Azure hosting and pay-per-use billing, with 4,000 built-in actions free initially per subscription. Standard uses single-tenant Azure hosting, supports multiple stateful and stateless workflows, and follows hosting-plan pricing. Hybrid is designed for customer-managed infrastructure across on-premises, private-cloud, or public-cloud environments, with the Azure Logic Apps runtime hosted through an Azure Container Apps extension. This structure gives teams choices around isolation, workflow style, and infrastructure ownership, but it also means the product is paid-only and its cost depends on usage or hosting requirements.
The main reason to choose Azure Logic Apps is its breadth within the Azure ecosystem. It connects with Microsoft Azure services, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, SAP, IBM MQ, SQL Server, GitHub, and SFTP, while EDI and XML capabilities support B2B scenarios. JavaScript, Python, .NET, and PowerShell code steps add flexibility when visual actions are not enough. Organizations that need this combination of connectors, extensibility, and hybrid deployment should find a strong fit. Teams looking for a free plan, open-source deployment, or a simpler narrow-focus automation tool should consider alternatives.
