Our verdict on Auricle
Auricle is a voice-first journaling app for people who prefer speaking over typing. It records and transcribes entries, asks AI-generated follow-up questions, and supports continued conversational reflection. The app also includes mood tracking, mood insights, semantic search, weekly AI summaries, photo journaling, and biometric app lock. Its audience is people seeking more structure and reflection than a basic voice memo or chronological diary provides.
The free plan is unusually capable for ongoing journaling: it includes unlimited journal entries, the first AI follow-up question on every entry, semantic search, On This Day, and full-journal Markdown and JSON export.
