AtloMaps is a mobile mapping and navigation app for hikers, cyclists, overlanders, travelers, and field professionals who need more control over map sources than a standard navigation app may offer. It runs on Android and iOS, has a free plan, and supports offline map downloads, route planning, waypoint navigation, and track recording. Its emphasis is on working with varied maps and overlays as well as navigation, making it particularly relevant to map enthusiasts who import their own sources.

Map choice is a defining strength: the app offers more than 300 map and imagery layers and over 100 overlays. Users can import GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, and MBTiles maps, connect WMS and XYZ tile-server sources, and import or export GPX, KML, and KMZ files. Supported maps can be downloaded for offline use, and map areas can be bulk-cached. Alongside routes and turn-by-turn navigation, the app includes waypoint editing, track recording, trip statistics, elevation profiles, and distance and area measurement.
