Athennian is a cloud-based entity management and governance operations platform for legal, finance, tax, compliance, professional services, corporate groups, private equity and funds. It brings entity and people records, ownership structures, governance documents, minute books, appointments, filings, compliance dates, tasks and reports into one system. Its global coverage and support for complex structures make it a strong fit for organizations coordinating legal entities across multiple jurisdictions.

The published plans show a paid model with no free plan. Essentials costs $25,000 per year and includes centralized entity management, secure access, custom reporting, structure charts, supported e-filings and UBO tracking. Professional adds bulk editing and actions, advanced structure charts, historical reporting, granular ownership reporting and user group management. Enterprise adds advanced security, advanced access controls, starter configurability, a sandbox environment and an Open Read API. Essentials is limited to 100 entities, while Professional and Enterprise pricing requires contacting sales, so the cost structure is better suited to substantial portfolios than smaller entity groups.

Athennian’s platform fit is broad: it is available on the web and through an API, with integrations for iManage, Office 365, Google Drive, FileForms, DocuSign, Adobe Sign and Slack. Its feature set also includes electronic signatures, document templates, audit trails, permissions, custom fields and AI-assisted document processing and data workflows. Teams that need a wide operating layer for ownership, governance, compliance and document processes should consider Athennian. Smaller organizations or teams managing a limited number of entities should look for a lower-cost alternative with a simpler scope.
