Arq Pro review
A capable managed backup console for mixed fleets, priced for organizations with 100-plus computers.

Arq Pro is a centrally managed endpoint backup service for teams, organizations, and managed service providers running macOS and Windows fleets. Administrators manage enrolled computers from a central web console, organize them into groups, apply shared backup plans and storage locations, and monitor backup activity. Its scope is file and drive backup, with support for configurable retention and immutable backup records through supported storage providers. The product is a fit for organizations that need policy-based administration across mixed operating systems rather than a standalone backup app for a small number of devices.
Platform fit is a central strength. Arq Pro supports unattended enrollment through MDM tools, including Mosyle, Jamf, Kandji, Intune, and Addigy, and also provides command-line enrollment with arqc. Groups can share backup plans, storage locations, and app settings, which suits teams managing multiple endpoint profiles. Customer-managed S3-compatible storage gives administrators control over destinations, while the web console adds activity monitoring and alerts. The combination is particularly relevant for Mac and Windows fleets already using device-management software.
The published plans show a $250 monthly base subscription covering up to 100 managed computers. Each additional computer above 100 costs $2.50 per computer per month. That structure makes Arq Pro easier to evaluate for organizations with a defined fleet, but the base cost is substantial when the requirement is limited to file and drive backup. Choose it when centralized administration, MDM deployment, mixed-platform coverage, and immutable records justify the spend. Smaller teams, organizations seeking bundled storage, or buyers looking for a lower-cost endpoint backup service should consider an alternative.
