Arista Guardian for Network Identity (AGNI) is a network access control platform for enterprise wired and wireless infrastructure. It suits organizations that need identity-based policies across hybrid networks, including BYOD, IoT, guest access, and devices managed through certificate or unique pre-shared-key onboarding. AGNI supports public-cloud service and on-premises physical-appliance deployment, with web and API access for administration and integrations.

Its main strength is coverage across the access-control lifecycle. Policies can use 802.1X with EAP-TLS, EAP-TEAP, or PEAP MSCHAPv2, while certificate lifecycle management and PKI integration support certificate-based access. Device fingerprinting, profiling, posture assessment, and behavioral monitoring add context beyond identity alone. Network segmentation can use VLANs, ACLs, dACLs, VSAs, and Arista MSS. Guest onboarding, self-registration, captive portals, and MAC bypass authentication extend the platform to visitors and devices that do not follow the primary authentication path.

AGNI also fits environments with established identity and security systems. Integrations include Google Workspace, Okta, OneLogin, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory through LDAP, OpenLDAP, Arista NDR, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Splunk, Sumo Logic, and ServiceNow CMDB. Third-party connections are available through Concourse applications and APIs. Licensing is subscription-based and pay-as-you-go, with pricing handled through contact with sales. Ask AVA provides AI-assisted troubleshooting in the cloud deployment. AGNI is a strong fit for teams that need layered NAC controls and ecosystem connectivity; organizations seeking only basic access policies may prefer a narrower product.
