Aptible review
A managed compliance platform with flexible deployment, scaling, and healthcare-focused controls.

Aptible is a cloud infrastructure platform for deploying and operating applications, databases, and AI workloads in regulated environments. It is aimed at healthcare teams and other organizations that need container-based deployment, managed databases, access controls, audit trails, backups, and compliance-focused infrastructure. Teams can deploy through Git or Docker images on shared or dedicated AWS stacks, or use the Enterprise self-hosting option in their own AWS account. A BAA is available for healthcare workloads, and the platform supports web and self-hosted environments.
Pricing is structured around a free Development plan, a $499-per-month Production base fee, and custom unit pricing for Enterprise. Development includes zero-downtime deployments, managed databases, CI/CD, CLI and Terraform, log and metric drains, and role-based access control, although usage charges apply. Production adds one dedicated stack, HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance frameworks, horizontal autoscaling, VPNs and VPC peering, SSO/SAML, and host intrusion detection. Enterprise adds self-hosting, HITRUST and PCI compliance frameworks, container sizing autoscaling, and a 99.95% uptime SLA. Infrastructure usage is billed separately from the Production base fee.
Operational controls are a major part of Aptible's fit. Managed databases receive automatic daily backups with a documented default retention of 30 days, while retention policies are configurable. Audit logging covers deployments, access events, and configuration changes, and log and metric drains connect with services including Datadog, Amazon S3, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Papertrail, and Sumo Logic. Integrations also include GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Okta, Twingate, Terraform, and VPC Peering. The LLM Gateway costs $200 per month plus token usage and supports Anthropic, OpenAI, and Bedrock-hosted models under a single BAA. Aptible suits teams prioritizing managed compliance infrastructure; organizations seeking a lower-cost production base fee or broader self-hosting access should look elsewhere.
