API Portal is a hosted API developer portal for platform teams, API developers, enterprise architects, and organizations managing internal or external APIs. Its core workspace combines a searchable catalog with full-text search, filters, tags, and lifecycle management; interactive documentation with browser-based try-it-out; authentication management for API keys, OAuth2, JWT, and other methods; and governance features for access and endpoint permissions. It supports OpenAPI, Swagger, AsyncAPI, GraphQL, RAML, WSDL, and related formats.

Pricing is sales-led across three plans. Starter includes automatic documentation and community support. Professional adds versioning and changelog capabilities, access control, and priority support. Enterprise adds SSO and SAML, unlimited teams, dedicated support, and on-premise deployment. The published access model includes a 14-day trial rather than a perpetual free plan, while plan prices are shown as “On request.” Teams comparing products primarily by transparent self-serve pricing may prefer a tool with publicly listed tiers.

The platform fits development workflows through its CLI for uploading, validating, linting, and publishing API specifications, plus CI/CD integrations for GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Travis CI. Identity integrations include Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, and Keycloak. Deployment options cover web, Windows, macOS, Linux, API, and self-hosted environments, with custom domains and both hosted and self-hosted portal deployment. Choose API Portal when catalog search, documentation, lifecycle governance, publishing automation, and enterprise access controls need to sit together; choose an alternative if open-source software or fixed public pricing is a requirement.
