AnyTV review
A capable cross-platform player for users who already have legal media sources.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
AnyTV is a media player for people who already have legal content sources, including IPTV playlists, provider connections, media servers and network shares. It runs on macOS, iOS and Android, organizing live channels, films and series into a searchable library with programme-guide data, artwork and episode information. It suits viewers who want one app for personal media, IPTV services and files stored across a home network rather than a service that supplies entertainment content.
Its strongest area is source and playback flexibility. AnyTV supports M3U and M3U8 playlists, Xtream Codes, Stalker portals, Plex, Jellyfin and Emby, plus SMB, DLNA/UPnP, WebDAV, FTP and SFTP. The feature set extends beyond basic playback with now-and-next guide information, subtitle tracks, external subtitle search, picture-in-picture, casting and multiview for up to four channels on the Personal plan. Offline downloads and Season Pass add useful options for recurring series, while synchronized profiles, favourites and watch progress help keep viewing organized across Apple and Android devices.
The Free plan is a useful way to assess the interface and source support, with one source, a full programme guide, artwork, cast and episode information, favourites, subtitles and no advertising. Its 60-second playback limit per title makes it unsuitable for regular viewing without an upgrade. Personal adds unlimited playback and sources, downloads, Season Pass, multiview, picture-in-picture and external players; Family adds separate profiles and sources with organiser-managed invitations; Lifetime does not expire. A seven-day free trial is also listed. Choose AnyTV if you already manage IPTV, server or network content and want broad playback tools. Choose another type of product if you need an included content catalog or a player focused only on local files.
