AntiCheatAddition is an open-source, self-hosted Spigot plugin for Minecraft servers that need checks beyond general cheat detection. Its coverage spans automated behavior involving eating, fishing, potion use, tool switching, and totem refills; inventory actions; duplication patterns; packet and rotation analysis; scaffold and tower building; client modifications; and selected malicious content. It is intended for server administrators focused on abnormal behavior, exploit prevention, and targeted enforcement rather than a single narrow cheat category.

The plugin is configured through YAML files, with adjustable violation thresholds and server-command execution when detections occur. Enforcement can cancel or block actions, kick players, delete suspicious books, command blocks, and potions, disable selected client-mod features, or hide information such as item durability, enchantments, counts, health, and selected player visibility data. PacketEvents is required for its packet-based operation, while Floodgate, ViaVersion, and WorldGuard are optional integrations that help it fit servers using those components.

Its main strength is breadth across behavior, inventory, packets, duplication, building, client modification, and malicious-content protections. Logs support investigations, and suspicious duplication locations can be recorded, but replay-file analysis is not part of the documented feature set. The repository is actively updated, while compiled binaries are distributed through the Spigot plugin page and otherwise must be built from source. Choose AntiCheatAddition when targeted checks and configurable responses matter; choose another option if you need a simpler setup or a clearly established Minecraft-version support range.
