ANKHOR FlowSheet review
A free visual workbench for ETL, OLAP analysis, dashboards, and data experimentation.

ANKHOR FlowSheet is a visual data-processing workbench for enterprises, consultants, scientists, and engineers. Its workspace combines script-free dataflow modeling, ETL, data cleansing, spreadsheet-style processing, in-memory and parallel execution, OLAP cubes, advanced analytics, dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analysis. It is suited to teams that want to build analytical workflows visually, as well as technical users working with diverse data sources and formats.
The Community Edition provides a free entry point with Data Workbench, interactive dashboards, and Windows support. Professional adds revision control, collaboration and remote support, and a command-line client. Workstation includes those capabilities plus ANKHOR Player support. The published commercial model requires contacting the vendor, and commercial deployment requires a separately licensed runtime through ANKHOR Player or ANKHOR Web Application Server. That licensing structure matters for organizations moving from experimentation to operational delivery.
FlowSheet’s ecosystem is broad: it supports Microsoft Excel, CSV, XML, SPSS, SQL, SAP ALV, HTTP, FTP, SOAP, REST, ODBC, R, Python, C++, and C#. Applications can run locally, through command-line processing, or through ANKHOR server products that expose dashboards and services through browsers and web interfaces. Web services and iframe integration support embedded analytics. Choose FlowSheet for visual ETL, OLAP exploration, and flexible analytical workflows; consider an alternative if scheduling, security controls, refresh management, or natural-language analysis are central requirements.
